Not the end.
The next beginning.
In a linear flow, plastic is taken, used and thrown away. We run a loop instead: collected material is sorted, washed and melted, then returns as raw material.
Our recycling handles our own production scrap and material from outside sources. Virgin or recycled material is still chosen to suit each product’s application.

From bales of plastic in the yard to products shipped back out to customers.

Collect
Material arrives in bales and containers: production scrap from within the group and plastic from outside suppliers.

Sort
Material is sorted by type and colour, such as PP, PE, HDPE and GPPS, before it enters a process line.

Wash & shred
Dirt and labels are washed off, then the plastic is shredded into flakes ready for melting.

Melt & filter
Extrusion lines, including EREMA, melt and filter the material into a consistent melt.

What does circularity mean at Cave Mekar Group?+
Used plastic does not end as waste. PT. Cave Sumber Berkat sorts, washes and melts it into recycled pellets, and plants within the group turn those back into products. More than 250 KT of plastic has been recycled since 2003.
Which plastics are recycled?+
Among others PP, PE, HDPE and GPPS. The recycling operation handles the group’s own production scrap as well as material from outside sources. Our team confirms available types and grades.
How large is the group’s rooftop solar?+
A combined 1,946.47 kWp: 1,350.18 kWp at PT. Cave Sumber Berkat and 596.29 kWp at Mekar Plastik. More than 4.5 GWh has been generated and used on site for production.
Can I order products made with recycled material?+
Yes, we can discuss it. Virgin or recycled material is chosen based on the application and product characteristics. For certificates such as RCS, ask the relevant company for scope and validity.
